The GUARD IDIQ provides for the acquisition and sustainment of Integrated Base Defense (IBD) physical security and force protection electronic security systems, items/equipment, and system integration capabilities. These activities include installation and sustainment services tailored to the Air Force Security Forces community; specifically, electronic security intrusion detection systems, which provide for a means to deter, anticipate, deny, detect, report, delay, assess, and track hostile forces and targets for the protection of resources, work environments, and personnel. The scope includes design, development, procurement, system installation and integration, system test, system certification and accreditation, and performance-based logistical support of IBD systems and equipment at DoW locations in both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Systems capabilities include area intrusion detection, access control, alarm reporting and display, remote alarm assessment, and alerting security response forces to intrusions. Associated capabilities such as fencing, lighting, power, ground communications systems, and other infrastructure improvements may also be required. The contract also provides for remote command and automated activation of delay/denial devices, as well as project support including program management, systems engineering, repair, testing, training, interim Contractor support, and Contractor logistics support.
