This requirement is for two air compressor relocations for US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). The full description and response requirements are included in the Request for Quotes (RFQ) N0017326Q1905 along with attachments. A site visit is required before submitting any proposal or quote. The mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, at 9:30 am EDT at NRL. All visitors must notify NRL Contracts at least 2 days prior to the scheduled visit. If you are unable to attend on this date, another date may be requested, although the requested date/time may not be available. No change to the response date and time specified in Block 8 of the Standard Form (SF) 1449 will be granted based on an inability to visit NRL on the planned site visit day. The contractor must relocate two existing air compressors from mechanical room 026B in Building 65 to a new exterior metal shed. Work includes providing a metal shed (approx. 10' x 21') on a concrete slab, extending 3" copper compressed air piping, extending compressor power with a 480V disconnect, providing a new 208V/120V panelboard, extending Siemens BAS wiring, providing a fire alarm system connected to Building 65, and installing interior insulation, exhaust fan, unit heater, lighting, and receptacles. One compressor must remain operational at all times; outages for relocation are limited to weekends with 30-day advance notice. The contractor must provide a construction-phasing plan, design submittals, and a project schedule.
