Details
The project is divided into two phases. This first phase includes the improvements in the vicinity of the existing secondary effluent equalization basins. The allocated budget for this phase of construction is $1,500,000.
The second phase will be addressed seeparately and is not part of this project.
Notes
The recycled water is used for irrigation purposes and via irrigation pump stations is pumped to either:
· The General Old Golf Course (GC) and the Riverside National Cemetery (RNC) via an existing irrigation pump station (RNC&GC PS). This pump station is equipped with two pumps, each with a capacity of 850 gallon per minute (gpm), and operates based on pressure drop. The field results indicate that the station’s overall capability is believed to be 1,100 gpm (1.58 mgd. RNC is the largest single user of recycled/non-potable water.
· Western’s recycled/ non-potable water pump station system (RW/NPW PS) pumps into the U-2 system and operates based on the level of the Lurin Irrigation Tank (0.3 MG). This station is equipped with four pumps, each capable of 1,160 gpm. The station’s total capacity is believed to be 4,400 gpm (6.33 mgd).
