TheTexas A&M University System is seeking proposals fromqualified vendors to provide, install, andsupport a lightning and hazardous weather detection, alerting, and massnotification platform for the Texas A&M-RELLIS campus and RELLIS ProvingGrounds, totaling more than 2,000 acres, as described within this RFP.
The A&M System is requesting proposals for a lightning and hazardous weather detection and alerting platform (the 'Platform') capable of providing campus-wide detection, automated alerts, and mass notification coverage across the RELLIS campus to include the RELLIS Proving Grounds (2,000+ acres). The Platform must provide timely, accurate, and actionable hazardous weather information and support reliable outdoor notification capabilities. The scope includes lightning detection (cloud-to-ground and cloud-to-cloud), hazardous weather detection (thunderstorms, severe storms, high winds, hail, tornado signatures), electronic notifications (SMS, email, web dashboard), and audible alerting for Areas A, B, and C. The Respondent shall deliver and install all Platform hardware, install loudspeakers, poles/towers, control cabinets, and power systems, configure all software, perform acceptance testing, provide training for RELLIS personnel, and provide documentation, drawings, and maintenance manuals. Ongoing support services include 24/7 technical support, maintenance and repair plans, firmware/software updates, sensor calibration, and annual system performance reports.
