Estimated value: $75,000.
The Texas General Land Office (“GLO”) issues this Invitation for Bids (“IFB”) to solicit bids for the removal and disposal of debris from the Quintana Beach jetty. Debris associated with a Central Texas flooding event traveled down the Brazos River into coastal waters and subsequently accumulated on the jetty due to tides and currents. The accumulated debris poses a threat to public health and safety and must be safely removed and properly disposed of.
The scope of work consists of the removal and disposal of approximately 1200 yards of vegetative debris along the Quintana Beach jetty. All debris must be removed manually. A GLO representative will be on-site to assist with identification of debris and coordination of removal and final inspection. The bid shall include all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, superintendence, insurance, and personnel, including travel expenses and incidental costs. The site must be secured from the public while work is being performed.

Most Texas work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what an agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
