Hays County issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit bids for annual contracts for furnishing Road Building Materials – Hot Mix materials set forth in this bid invitation. These materials are generally used by the Hays County Transportation Department for road maintenance and construction projects.
The bidder must furnish hot mix asphalt materials including TXDOT Item 340 Dense-Graded Hot-Mix Asphalt (Small Quantity) Types A, B, C, D; TXDOT Item 341 Dense-Graded Hot-Mix Asphalt Types A, B, C, D; and TXDOT Item 347 Thin Overlay Mixtures (TOM) Types C and F, in estimated quantities ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 tons per item. The bidder must also provide Material Transportation Service (per mile per ton) and Demurrage Charge (per hour). Materials may be picked up at the bidder's plant or delivered to the Hays County Transportation Department at 2171 Yarrington Road, Kyle, TX 78640. Contract materials are to be delivered to jobsite on an as-needed basis as directed by Hays County Staff.
