The State of Texas, by and through TexasSouthern University (TSU), seeks sealed proposals from qualified insurancebrokerage firms to establish a pool of approved insurance brokers to provideinsurance brokerage, insurance consulting, risk management, claims advocacy,and related professional services on an as-needed basis.
Selected firms shall provide professional insurance brokerage and risk management services upon request, including but not limited to: Insurance Program Review (review existing programs, evaluate coverage, identify gaps, recommend improvements, evaluate deductibles and limits, recommend appropriate structures); Insurance Brokerage Services (brokerage for commercial insurance including Builder's Risk, Excess Liability/Umbrella, Cyber Liability, Professional Liability, Crime Insurance, Environmental Liability, Student Health Insurance, NCAA Accident Insurance, Foreign Travel Insurance, Special Event Insurance, Flood Insurance, and other specialized insurance); Insurance Marketing (prepare underwriting submissions, market to carriers, obtain quotations, negotiate premiums and terms, recommend carriers, present comparative analyses); Risk Management Consulting (Enterprise Risk Management, exposure analysis, risk financing alternatives, benchmarking, insurance program design, emerging risk assessments, coverage analysis, contractual risk transfer recommendations); Claims Advocacy (coordinate reporting, work with carriers, monitor claims, facilitate resolution, assist with settlements, provide loss trend analysis, recommend corrective actions); Policy Administration (renewals, policy issuance, endorsements, certificates of insurance, evidence of insurance, coverage summaries, policy interpretation); Content Review (review contracts to determine insurance requirements and recommend modifications); Loss Prevention (property inspections, loss control recommendations, fire protection reviews, catastrophe preparedness planning, safety consulting); Reporting (annual stewardship reports, loss runs, claims reports, market updates, premium allocation summaries, coverage comparisons, emerging risk reports); and Task Order Process (University may issue Requests for Services, Quotes, or Proposals to pool members based on technical expertise, specialized experience, insurance market access, availability, fee proposal, qualifications, or other factors).
