The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is requesting responses from qualified respondents to provide accessibility review, documentation, and remediation support for instructional materials across multiple content areas and grade bands as part of the continuous improvement of the TEA’s OER.
The contractor will provide accessibility expertise across WCAG, Section 508, Braille, Large-Print, and Audio formats for TEA's OER instructional materials, which span Prekindergarten through Grade 12 in subjects such as ELAR, Math, Science, Social Studies, and their Spanish-language equivalents. Work includes developing accessibility project plans, review guidelines and checklists, training instructional materials vendors, conducting accessibility audits, producing compliance reports and remediation guidance, and supporting production of accessible PDFs and NIMAS files for upload to the NIMAC platform. The contractor must scale support up and down based on peak production periods and provide a team structure demonstrating program management, accessibility review/testing capacity, and quality assurance functions in both English and Spanish.
