The Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (PT Board) is soliciting proposals from
qualified individuals or entities to develop, administer, and maintain a peer-review
continuing competence approval system based on the applicable provisions of the Texas
Physical Therapy Practice Act and Rules and under the oversight of the PT Board in order
to ensure high quality continuing competence opportunities for physical therapists and
physical therapist assistants licensed in Texas.
The contractor must develop, administer, and maintain a continuing competence approval system including online submission of approval applications, dissemination for peer review, online search capability for approved activities and accredited providers, and an online repository for licensees to store and track continuing competence. The contractor must also manage application fee payments through a secured platform, maintain records for four years, develop a policy manual, and submit quarterly reports to the PT Board on various metrics such as numbers of approved and pending activities, processing times, audit results, and recommendations.
