Vocational Rehabilitation Impartial Hearing Officers

IHO services include reviewing customer appeals; issuing orders; conducting pre-hearing conferences and mediations; holding administrative hearings; handling pre-hearing and post-hearing litigation; developing the hearing record; evaluating testimony and evidence; rendering decisions or recommendations with written findings of fact and conclusions of law; forwarding decisions to the Hearings Coordinator no later than five calendar days before the due date; traveling throughout Texas on an as-needed basis; and attending required trainings and meetings. Services are provided on a statewide, as-needed basis. Subcontracting is not permitted.
