The work of this single bid project includes the demolition of Banks Residence Hall which is a nine-story dormitory building with a basement that was constructed in 1972. The exterior of this 62,000 gross square foot structure is comprised of reinforced concrete and brick. The demolition of the adjacent Adirondack Residence Hall which a three-story dormitory with a basement that was constructed in 1972. The exterior of this 62,600 gross square foot structure is also comprised of reinforced concrete and brick. Both buildings contain hazardous materials which need to be abated. The basements will be backfilled, and the site will be restored to green lawn space after the buildings are removed. Sitework includes sidewalk removals, some reconfigurations, and restriping of some street parking.
