The Work consists of the excavation, transportation, and off-site disposal of tetrachloroethylene (PCE)-impacted soil and concrete from the upper 3 to 8 feet of the former One-Hour Martinizing dry-cleaning property at 153 Pine Street, Traverse City, Michigan, followed by backfilling and compaction of the resulting excavation. Deeper PCE-impacted soils will remain in place due to utility constraints. Work includes site preparation, concrete demolition and removal, soil excavation, transportation to permitted disposal facilities, importation and placement of clean backfill, compaction testing, and site restoration, all performed in accordance with Part 201 of NREPA and the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE).
