Garber High School Natatorium
Base Bid work includes replacement of the existing 6-inch modulation valve on the main drain line, supply and installation of a new CAT 4000 chemical controller or approved equal with flow cell, acid pump and chlorine pump, supply and installation of a flow meter integrated with the controller, all labor materials and equipment for a complete functional installation, testing calibration and startup, and site protection and pool safety measures. Alternate No. 1 includes obtaining an EGLE variance, draining the pool and abandoning the existing main drain in place, supplying and installing new wall-mounted main drains, coring the pool wall at two locations, sealing penetrations with link seals, installing new Schedule 80 PVC piping to the balance tank with pipe supports, and coordinating draining/refilling and downtime. Both approaches require EGLE and Michigan Public Health Code Part 125 compliance, permits, shutdown coordination, startup testing and staff training, and warranty and O&M manuals.

Most Michigan work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what an agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
