The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Division of HIV & STD Programs is contracting with Chembio Diagnostics Systems, Inc. to obtain SURE CHECK HIV 1/2 Assays and related components to conduct confirmatory HIV blood tests for non-clinical sites. The State will distribute these items to covered entities to ensure the at-risk population is served. Chembio is the only vendor that manufactures the SURE CHECK HIV Assay for implementation of a dual rapid algorithm for point of care HIV blood testing with shelf life of two years and results in 20 minutes.
