The following becomes a part of the original Project Manual, taking precedence over items that may conflict. The bidder shall note receipt and make acknowledgment of the addendum in their bid and incorporating its provisions in their bid price.

Deposit: Copies of the drawings and specifications may be obtained by bidders at the office of West Plains Engineering. Copies are on file for viewing purposes only at the Construction and Facilities Management Office 2823 West Main St. Rapid City, SD 57702
Bid Security: Each bid in excess of $100,000 must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or draft in the amount of five percent (5%) or a ten percent (10%) bid bond.
Completion: Substantially complete by October 1, 2027.
Site Visit: An optional pre-bid conference is being scheduled for August 26, 2026 at 9:00 AM CT. All bidders can meet at the front entrance to the Sioux Falls Armory, 801 West National Guard Road, Sioux Falls, SD, 57104.
Description: Scope of work includes replacing three boilers and seven pumps with new. Scope includes reworking piping in boiler room and limited piping in a hallway to modernize zoning of the building. New intake, exhaust, VFD, and other work is included in scope of work. Existing boiler system shall run through the upcoming winter. The intent for this project is to start construction in Spring of 2027. The existing boiler system is fully functional, and is expected to remain intact and operational until construction starts in Spring of 2027.
