The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to completely remove and dispose existing filter media, removal and disposal of existing underdrains, complete installation of new drains, testing, installation of new media, and disinfection/dichlorination for 10 filters. The work also includes concrete spall repair, deck repair, crack injection (grout and epoxy), installation of 30 bearings for sweep arms, and placement of repair mortar on spalled sections. The contractor must provide a square foot unit cost for repair mortar on spalled sections less than or equal to one inch in depth, a cubic foot unit cost for spalled sections greater than one inch, and a pounds unit cost for installation of new steel reinforcement. The contractor must also provide for site visits from the underdrain manufacturer, additional anthracite (250 tons), and an allowance for unforeseen conditions within each filter.
