Aqua Crest Aquatic Complex
Open to all adult Professional Artists with experience of designing, fabricating and installing architecturally integrated art made with tile (e.g. ceramic, porcelain, terracotta, stone, glass). Professional Artist means a practitioner in the visual arts, generally recognized by critics and/or peers as a professional of serious intent and ability. Indications of a persons status as a Professional Artist include, but are not limited to, income realized through the sole commission of artwork, frequent or consistent art exhibitions, placement of artwork in and/or upon the exterior or grounds of public institutions or museums, receipt of honors and awards, and training in the arts.
The selected artist will be responsible for designing, permitting, fabricating, and installing approximately 960 square feet of tile art (ceramic, porcelain, terracotta, stone, or glass) across five panels on the building's exterior facades (Panel A at 324 SF, Panels B.1 and B.2 at 184 SF each, and Panels C.1 and C.2 at 134 SF each). Art must be surface-mounted to concrete tilt-up wall panels, result in flat even surfaces that do not protrude from walls, and require no structural reinforcement. Installation must comply with the current Florida Building Code and TCNA Handbook. The artist will also obtain necessary permits and oversee construction. Art design goals include creating a welcoming and vibrant environment, being inspired by aquatic activities and physical wellbeing, providing visual interest for repeat visits, and complementing the facility's architectural style. Materials must be durable, require minimal maintenance, and withstand intense local environmental conditions including sun, high winds, salty moist air, and rain.

Most Florida work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what a GC or agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
