The principal items of work and approximate quantities are:
Clean out and plug twenty-two (22) orphan gas wells, estimated to be 1,200-1,600 feet in depth,
to Department specifications.
Prepare and restore well sites/site.
Mobilize and demobilize plugging equipment.

MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE is scheduled for August 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. Representatives from the Department will meet the contractors at Cheez’s Garage, 58 Chesebro Lane, Smethport, PA 16749.
FAILURE TO ATTEND THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE CAUSE FOR REJECTION OF THE BID.
The work includes cleaning out and plugging twenty-two (22) orphan gas wells, estimated to be 1,200-1,600 feet in depth, to Department specifications. The contractor must prepare and restore well sites, and mobilize and demobilize plugging equipment. The contract duration is 365 calendar days.
