The contract is for the procurement of Forestry Tracked Stump Grinders, including a trailer option (Lucon 5T162TBW or equal), for use in Parks & Recreation's forestry operations throughout the five boroughs of New York City. The stump grinder must be a heavy-duty, self-propelled unit on a rubber track undercarriage with a diesel engine (74 HP minimum, Tier 4 certified), a cutting system with a 28-inch minimum cutting wheel, radio remote control, and various safety and operational features. The contract also includes delivery, inspection, training, and warranty requirements.
