The work includes reconstructing existing collapsed or otherwise defective storm, sanitary, or combined sewers with Extra Strength Vitrified Clay Pipe (ESVP) on concrete cradle and/or Precast Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) on concrete cradle, with possible substitution of Ductile Iron Pipe on stone bedding. It also includes the construction of new manholes, catch basins, basin connections, house connections, and the reconnection of existing sewers. The project also involves water main work, including the replacement of lead service lines, installation of valves and hydrants, and associated pavement, sidewalk, and curb restoration. The contractor must provide initial services and reconstruction services as directed by the Engineer, with work orders issued by the Department of Environmental Protection.
