Dynamic US, Inc. (Dynamic), acting as agent for the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), is seeking qualifications from firms to be considered for a forthcoming bid solicitation for the CUNY BMS Upgrade Project at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). This project consists of One (1) campus building and includes:
• Install and integrate a new Building Management System (BMS), including controllers, actuators, sensors, control devices, communication networks, and updated sequences of operation, while maintaining building operations throughout phased implementation.
• Provide complete project execution, including permits, labor, materials, demolition, coordination, commissioning, testing, owner training, and all required preconstruction planning, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and safety/logistics documentation.
• Coordinate and commission all systems, including campus shutdowns, BAS/network integration, fire alarm coordination, functional testing, inspections, and submission of all required technical and closeout documentation.
The work will require careful planning of shutdowns, potential temporary air provisions, safety measures, and detailed Methods of Procedure (MOPs) to minimize operational disruptions.
Interested firms shall submit a Statement of Qualifications and a New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire (VRQ) for evaluation and shortlist consideration. Firms must demonstrate relevant, successful experience including a minimum of three (3) completed projects of similar size and scope within the past eight (8) years, and a minimum of five (5) years of applicable experience.
Dynamic and DASNY reserve the right to review financial data, investigate qualifications, require additional supporting documentation, and reject submissions which lack sufficient capability, resources, and past performance. Evaluation will focus on project experience, staffing depth, occupied-facility proficiency, and overall responsibility.
Shortlisted firms will receive the Bid Solicitation, which will include MBE, WBE and SDVOB participation requirements. The successful bidder must submit a project-specific MBE/WBE/SDVOB Utilization Plan and demonstrate the ability to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds. Only shortlisted firms will receive the bid documents, and only firms that attend the mandatory pre-bid walkthrough will be eligible to submit a bid.
