The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University is soliciting bids for a high resolution, lithographic 3D printing system for ceramics to be used for the development of custom materials and functional devices. This equipment will enable the production of fine-featured green-state ceramic parts produced via a slurry-based additive manufacturing process, with resolution of 20 micrometers or better, using the technique of stereolithography. The system must meet all the technical requirements outlined below. The equipment should be customizable for fabrication of textured or grain-oriented ceramics.
Bidder Written Questions and Requests for Clarifications:
All questions must be submitted through the Bidnet platform by and arrive no later than the time and date indicated on the Summary Information Form, Page 1. Vendor identifying information will not be included in the response, as they will be sent out to all IFB participants as addendums to the IFB. All questions must be submitted in writing, citing the particular IFB page, section, and paragraph numbers where applicable. Only answers received as addendums through the Bidnet system are official. Deadline for Bid Submission:
Submittals must be physically received by the primary contact no later than August 25, 2026, 3pm EDT at the address listed on the Summary Information Form, Page 1. Please reference IFB 168022 in the attn to field. Bid submittals received after the submission deadline will not be considered. Please allow sufficient time for mailing to ensure receipt of bid prior to deadline as late bids will not be considered.

The system must be a UV laser-based lithography system using slurry feedstock of ceramic powders in liquid polymer, with resolution of 20 micrometers or better, a minimum build volume of 100 x 100 x 150 mm, and maximum outer dimensions not exceeding 1100x1100x2000 mm. It must accept any 3rd party or user-generated feedstock, include a separate cleaning unit, a starter materials and consumables package, and intuitive GUI software capable of reading CAD files. The equipment should be customizable for fabrication of textured or grain-oriented ceramics.
