Cytopathology and Next Generation Sequencing Testing

The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, collection and shipping kits, courier services, cytopathology analysis, reflex molecular testing, reporting, consultation, quality management, and all other services necessary to perform Cytopathology and Next Generation Sequencing Testing Services for the Northport VA Medical Center. The contractor must provide collection and shipping kits for cytology samples, courier service for specimen pick-up, cytology reports by fax, notification when cytopathology is indeterminate, and reflexively perform molecular testing only when cytopathology results are indeterminate. The molecular assay must utilize a validated NGS platform capable of evaluating clinically significant genomic alterations associated with thyroid malignancy, analyzing both DNA and RNA. FNA Cytopathology reports are expected within four days from the day of biopsy and molecular testing results within 15 days from the day of biopsy.
