NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for the following project in Division
One:
DA00686 – Milling, Resurfacing, and Shoulder Reconstruction on 1 Section of NC-308, and 3 Sections
of Secondary Roads in Bertie County.
WBS Element: 2027CPT.01.05.10081, Etc.
The Date of Availability for this Contract is November 30, 2026.
The Completion Date for this Contract is November 30, 2027.
There is NO MBE/WBE Goal for this project.
Any firm that wishes to bid as a prime contractor shall be prequalified as a Bidder or PO Prime Contractor

Prospective Bidders shall utilize the Division One Conference Call Phone Number
(866) 590-5055 access code (2659015) to join the October 21, 2026 Virtual Bid Opening. Prospective
Bidders are encouraged to join the Bid Opening Conference Call approximately five minutes prior to
the Bid Opening, as the bids will be read promptly at 2:00 pm.
The work includes milling asphalt pavement, resurfacing with asphalt concrete surface courses (Types S9.5B and S9.5C), shoulder reconstruction, patching existing pavement (full depth), installation of sinusoidal milled rumble strips, thermoplastic and paint pavement markings, temporary traffic control, seeding and mulching, and erosion control. The project covers 18.754 miles across four maps, with specific pavement schedules and typical sections for each map.
