The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for snow and ice
removal with single-axle trucks on various interstate, primary and secondary roads in Iredell
County. The Contractor is to furnish labor, material, equipment and traffic control.
CONTRACT TIME:
The date of availability for this contract is November 16, 2026.
The completion date for this contract is November 15, 2027.

BID OPENING:
Sealed bids must be received in the Division Engineer’s Office, located at 1710 E. Marion Street,
Shelby, N.C. 28152, by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Bids must be submitted on
the official bid sheet as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders along with the complete proposal
and display the following statement on the front of the envelope:
QUOTATION FOR WBS No. 20S.1049, Etc.
The contractor shall furnish fully operated single axle trucks with operators, equipped with GPS, snowplow, and material spreader, to perform snow and ice control activities as directed by the Engineer. The contractor must provide a minimum of five single axle trucks (not to exceed 26,001 lbs. GVW) and one supervisor vehicle. The contractor is to furnish labor, material, equipment and traffic control. The work includes mobilizing equipment to pre-designated Department of Transportation Facilities within three hours of notification, and performing snow and ice removal on various interstate, primary and secondary roads in Iredell County.
