EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Bidder or Bidder’s Subcontractor shall have completed at least two (2) projects of similar size and scope; in lieu of the references from the Bidder or Bidder’s Subcontractor, the County will consider the references from Bidder’s key personnel in accordance with Resolution No. R-1122-21. Bidder shall provide evidence of this experience; project names; dollar values and contract information for verification purposes. The experience of the bidding or proposing Contractors’ key personnel will be considered in assessing the Contractor’s experience. This information should be entered on form 00450 Bidder''s Statement of Qualifications and Business References, highlighting at least two comparable projects and using additional pages as needed.
CPSI Certification Requirement:
Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) Certification held by Owner, principal or direct employee of the company actively engaged in the scope of work.
SCOPE OF WORK: (Contractor must obtain and submit all permits prior to performing any work.)
CONTRACTOR shall review all documents, specifications, and scope of work provided by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Department for work to be completed. Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials required to comply with the intent of the WORK described in the contract documents including but not limited to:
1.1) Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision to completely remove the existing playground components specified below and replace them with new, equivalent structures. Prior to the commencement of work, the Contractor shall be solely responsible for inspecting the site and verifying that all listed replacement parts constitute an exact, functional swap compatible with the existing infrastructure, vertical poles and the new design layout. Contractor is required to disassemble existing playground accessories leaving structural poles,(to be painted by others)
1.2) Contractor shall inspect existing conditions to confirm if additional parts are required outside scope parts list Fig.1
1.3) Contractor shall be responsible by any/all governing entities for the removal and disposal of existing playground parts
1.4) Contractor shall provide a representative of manufacturer to oversee removal and installation of new materials, representative will maintain compliance with manufacturer’s specifications. Any imperfection’s detected by the manufacturer and/or owner will be repaired prior to completion of project. Contractor will submit a letter of acceptance by the manufacture upon final inspection.
1.5) Contractor shall submit General Requirements with relation to product installation to include: Performance/Scope Requirements, Submittals ,parts list ,colors and fastening system to project manager
1.6) Prior to the commencement of any site mobilization or field operations, the Contractor shall submit a comprehensive project baseline schedule to the Construction Manager for review and formal acceptance. No work shall initiate until such schedule has been approved in writing by the Construction Manager. Throughout the duration of the project, Contractor shall maintain approved schedule to accurately reflect actual progress and reflect any delay. The Contractor shall be required to furnish a fully updated, revised project schedule within one work week as requested by the Construction Manager, at no additional cost to the Owner.
1.7) Contractor to submit manufacturer’s warranty for all replacement parts.
1.8) Contractor must be a Certified playground inspector and manufacture installer with a valid license/certificate . Must hold CSPI Certification
1.9) All areas affected shall be protected while any construction related activity is taking place to prevent public access, i.e., 6 ft. construction fence, safety signs, etc. during renovation process. The contractor shall be responsible for all property damages .All effected Sod areas are to be restored at the completion of the project

REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION/INFORMATION:
All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing by 10/08/2026 to [email protected] and copy the Clerk of the Board at [email protected] . NO PHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. RFIs submitted after the specified deadline may not be attended to. Verbal statements made by the County or the Owner’s Representative that are not contained in an RPQ or addendum to the RPQ are not binding on the County and should not form any basis for a bidder’s response to an RPQ.
