This project, located in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties (District 1), is for the maintenance and preservation of environmental assets including, but not limited to landscape planting beds, individual trees, turf areas, stream sites and wetlands within MDOT facilities and right-of-ways, easements held by MDOT, and areas under agreement with MDOT.
The work will consist of the following:
(a) Management of Landscape Areas, including the activities of pruning and foliage removal, weed control, and litter and debris removal within landscape planting beds and individual tree pits on a rotational basis.
(b) Management of Turf Areas, including mowing, trimming, and litter and debris removal within managed turf areas on a rotational basis.
(c) Tree, shrub, perennial, bulb and turfgrass sod installation and establishment will be performed when directed.
(d) Additional maintenance and preservation activities will be performed as additional work assignments when directed and may include mulching, herbicide application, additional turf mowing, watering of plant material, stone installation, insecticide application and crew activities associated with the Crew for Environmental Asset Management specification.
