Los Angeles CountyIssuing agency·Los Angeles, CA·via the City of Los AngelesThe Los Angeles County Department of Youth Development (DYD) is responsible for implementing and evaluating a growing network of community-based care coordination in lieu of justice system involvement for young people under the age of 18 in Los Angeles County. DYD provides diversion and development programming for all referred youth including those who would otherwise become involved in the justice system for alleged felony offenses in the County. Through this Work Order Solicitation (WOS), DYD is seeking to continue its Youth Diversion and Development Services (YDS-D) program.
The Contractor will administer Youth Development Services – Diversion (YDS-D) to youth referred by Referring Partners, including those referred for infractions, misdemeanors, and felonies. Services include individualized Care Coordination using a strengths-based, trauma-informed, restorative approach; intake and enrollment within required timelines; connection to specialized systems of care; care coordination including case management, mentorship, academic support, and linkage to health services; network building to provide a menu of services such as healing-informed arts, community leadership, academic support, restorative justice practices, and family support; community engagement activities; record keeping and data collection using CHAMP or other County-approved systems; and maintaining a physical office meeting specific site requirements.
