DYD provides diversion and development programming for all referred youth including those who would otherwise become involved in the justice system for alleged felony offenses in the County. Through this Work Order Solicitation (WOS), DYD is seeking to continue its Youth Diversion and Development Services (YDS-D) program.

The contractor will administer Youth Development Services – Diversion (YDS-D) including: providing diversion and development services to youth referred by Referring Partners for infractions, misdemeanors, and felonies; providing individualized Care Coordination with a strengths-based, trauma-informed, restorative approach; serving as the central point of contact for youth; employing adaptive service strategies; tailoring intervention intensity; participating in Partnership Agreements; participating in coaching and capacity-building; and providing meaningful service demonstrating commitment to community equity. Specific work requirements include intake and enrollment within prescribed timelines (outreach within 72 hours, initial appointment within 10 days, enrollment within 30-60 days), connection to specialized systems of care, care coordination including evidence-informed case management, network building for a menu of services (healing-informed arts, mentorship, academic support, health services, restorative justice, etc.), community engagement activities, record keeping, data collection via CHAMP or other County-approved systems, and maintaining a physical office meeting specified site requirements.
