The project includes the removal of one bungalow building with 2 classrooms at Grape ES and one portable building with 2 classrooms at Cimarron ES, along with adjacent asphalt. Each site will receive an approximately 2,000 square foot outdoor learning environment serving as a gathering/instructional space, including landscaping with trees, pavers, and decomposed granite; shaded seating areas and shade structure; internet connectivity; irrigation and outdoor sink; and accessibility improvements. Adjacent landscaped areas may be included to adapt to site conditions and incorporate existing trees and greening elements. All work at both schools must occur after school hours (3:30 PM to 11:30 PM on instructional days, 7 AM to 3:30 PM on non-school days), with mandatory Saturday work as needed.
