The vendor shall provide inspection, maintenance, repair, and/or replacement of the Vulcan Gate system manufactured by Valtir when requested by KYTC via an official delivery order. Work includes visually inspecting the gate for damage, clearing debris from the gate travel path, applying light oil to the jack assembly and cycling wheels, lubricating connecting pins, and operating the gate assembly per the manufacturer's manual. Damaged sections must be replaced with original modular sections from the manufacturer. The vendor shall also install and maintain traffic control conforming to the latest MUTCD revision, and work may be required during night, weekend, and off-peak hours. Line items cover removal and replacement of various gate components (sections, hinge assemblies, anchor straps, hinge pins, pin connectors, spacers, stiffeners, transitions, anchor kits, thrie beams, rub rails, hardware, bulkheads) and inspection/maintenance for Districts 4, 8, and 11, as well as maintenance of traffic control.
