The Kansas Department of Insurance is seeking competitive bid proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive regulatory support services relating to Pharmacy Benefit Managers (“PBMs”) and health plans, subject to the regulatory authority of the Department as authorized under the Kansas Consumer Prescription Protection and Accountability Act. Services to be provided include:
a. Quarterly collection, processing, analysis, and reporting to the Department of PBM reimbursement data.
b. Annual collection, processing, analysis, and reporting to the Department of data from PBMs and health plans.
c. The drafting of an annual PBM report to be delivered to the Department.
d. Secure data acquisition, transmission, storage, and processing.
e. Training, consultation services, and technical assistance for Department staff related to PBM regulation, compliance, and enforcement.
The contractor will collect, process, analyze and report quarterly PBM reimbursement data and annual PBM and health plan data, draft an annual PBM report, operate a secure data submission and storage system, and provide training, consultation and technical assistance to Department staff.
