This position is designed for a one-person role to support an efficient communication structure in a high paced environment. The independent contractor will exclusively represent Kansas and oversee recruitment services to the East Coast Region, consisting of the states; Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Vermont,
Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
The Business Recruitment Consultant manages a portfolio of business client files and recruitment projects from start to finish, develops formal proposals in response to RFIs, communicates with Kansas local economic development communities, leads and manages recruitment projects, advances project proposals in coordination with partners, becomes proficient in state incentive programs, documents activity in Salesforce, serves as an advocate for Kansas, is familiar with Kansas assets, represents the Department at events, employs prospecting tools for lead identification, develops a professional network with site location consultants, and works in partnership with the marketing team.
