The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors for reference standards (analytical reference standards, reference materials and certified reference materials) used in the routine operations of a full-service forensic science laboratory system, with multiple locations throughout the state of Kansas.
The vendor will supply reference standards including analytical reference standards, reference materials, and certified reference materials. Product categories include neat or in-solution materials, quantities ranging from milligram to multiple-gram quantities, controlled substances Schedules I–V, non-controlled substances, and lot specific Certificates of Analysis. Examples include methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, tetrahydrocannabinol, their isomers, analogs and related compounds, other psychoactive substances, steroids, and non-controlled drugs such as aspirin, acetaminophen, sildenafil, and amitriptyline. Vendors must meet ISO 17034 accreditation for Reference Materials and Certified Reference Materials. Shipping is to specified KBI FSL locations in Topeka, Great Bend, Kansas City, and Pittsburg, Kansas. Deliveries accepted Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Products must be shipped using appropriate methods to protect product integrity during transport. Lot-specific Certificates of Analysis must be provided with shipments or made available online.
