The bidder must supply square sign posts that are crashworthy as defined by NCHRP Report 350 category 2, level 3, with a Federal Acceptance Letter. Posts shall be square tubing formed of 12 gauge or 14 gauge steel, hot-dipped galvanized, with 7/16" holes on 1" centers on all four sides, and must telescope freely for at least 10 feet. Shipping must be on flatbed trucks and loads must be tarped.
