Project includes removing the existing entrance portal (sign) at Lake Darling State Park and replacing it with a standard Iowa DNR Design Guide stone entry portal. Please see the plans and bid package as noted below. Bid Closing Date and Time: 8/27/2026 at 3:00 PM. Bids must be submitted electronically as directed in the General Information and Instructions to Bidders.
Work includes demolition of the existing stone entry portal, earthen grading, concrete footings, cast-in-place structural concrete, full veneer stone work (Valders River Bluff dimensional sawed veneer), a laminated wood beam with steel strapping/sign support, electrical and lighting (including a floodlight with photo-cell control and direct-bury line from the shop building approximately 600 feet away), site restoration (fertilizing, seeding, and hydraulically mulching disturbed areas), and installation of an aluminum sign supplied by the owner. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and equipment as shown and specified.
