Set on a 150-acre campus, IVH is among the nation’s five largest state veterans’ homes and the largest facility of its kind in Iowa. In recent years, IVH’s infrastructure has undergone multiple capital improvements, including remediation work for water infiltration in the Loftus and Malloy wings and roof replacements for Dack and Malloy.
The Contractor shall provide as-needed concrete repair, maintenance, installation, replacement, and related services at the Iowa Veterans Home (IVH) campus in Marshalltown, Iowa. Services may include installation, repair, and replacement of ADA-compliant ramps; repair and replacement of concrete scuppers and drainage features; installation, repair, relocation, and replacement of bollards; repair and replacement of concrete curbs, curb and gutter; concrete grinding, cutting, and corrective measures for trip hazards; removal and replacement of damaged concrete; concrete saw cutting, demolition, removal, and disposal; slurry backfill and trench backfill; asphalt saw cutting, removal, disposal, and replacement; repair, modification, removal, and replacement of concrete block walls, brick pavers, and related masonry surfaces. Incidental services may include repair and restoration of landscaping and irrigation systems, installation and repair of fences and handrails, and pruning or removal of trees and shrubs as necessary to complete authorized concrete work.
