Twiggs County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the resurfacing of Hill and Dale Road in Twiggs County, Georgia. Please refer to the attached bid documents for the scope of work, specifications, bid deadline, and submission instructions. Twiggs County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Invitations for Bid and Request for Proposals by Twiggs County, Georgia
Sealed bids must be received for Hill and Dale Road Resurfacing by 5 p.m. on
Tuesday, November 17, 2026. Proposals/Bids must be signed; late Proposals/Bids will
not be considered. A Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount
is required. Proposals/Bids without a Bid Bond shall not be considered. Proposals/Bids
for the Project will be sealed and not opened until Thursday, November 19, 2026 at the
6:00 P.M. Twiggs County Board of Commissioners Meeting at the Twiggs County Court
House.
The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following:
Roadway construction on Hill and Dale Road, including traffic control and
construction of +/- 2,065 TNS of 9.5 mm RAC Superpave topping at 2 inch depth or 220
LBS/SY, striping, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job consisting of
1.6 miles beginning at the intersection of HWY 96 and Hill and Dale Road and ending at
the end of the pavement on Hill and Dale Road at a depth of 2 inches.
All work on the Project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days
of date of notice to proceed.
As allowed by Georgia law, this Request for Proposal expressly provides that:
Offerors submitting proposals may be afforded an opportunity for
discussion, negotiation, and revision of proposals. Discussions,
negotiations, and revisions may be permitted after submission of proposals
and prior to award for the purpose of obtaining best and final offers.
In accordance with the request for proposals, all responsible offerors found
by Twiggs County to have submitted proposals reasonably susceptible of
being selected for award shall be given an opportunity to participate in such
discussions, negotiations, and revisions.
