1.01. COMPETITIVE COST SEALED BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Flooding, Street, & Drainage System
Improvements to serve Highland Neighborhood will be received, by City of
Donalsonville, at 127 East 2nd Street, Donalsonville, GA 39845, until 11:00 AM,
Thursday, October 15, 2026, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly
opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a
period of sixty (60) days.
1.02. CONTRACTOR LICENSE
Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of
Transportation Contractor. All utility work must be performed by a licensed Utility
Contractor in the State of Georgia. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid
envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See
Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements.
1.03. SCOPE OF WORK
The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment
necessary to construct the proposed Flooding, Street, & Drainage System Improvements
to serve Highland Neighborhood as shown on the construction drawings.
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Flooding, Street, & Drainage System Improvements to serve Highland Neighborhood as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of grading roadside ditches along existing paved roadways, storm drainage piping, driveway piping, construction of outfall ditches, lowering of existing water and gas main services, erosion & sediment control and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out within 194 consecutive calendar days. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract.
