1.Replacement of CMP culvert under Industrial Parkway
a.Contractor will follow GDOT specifications to replace a damaged culvert under Industrial Pkwy.
b.Contractor must use RCP and the culvert size will be increased to 30"
c.Culvert will be placed on a minimum of 12" of foundation backfill.
d.Culvert will receive GDOT Safety Flared End Sections
e.Head and tail ditch to be excavated to match new culvert
f.Culvert to be relocated 2" further away from the edge of Park Street.
g.Culvert to be backfilled with 57 stone and or compacted GAB within 6" of finished grade. Final 6" to be paved, following GDOT 1401 detail.
h.Industrial Pkwy may be closed to traffic during culvert replacement for up to 3days.
i.City will assist with Walton EMC coordination.
j.Contractor must call 811 and coordinate any other utility conflict resolutions.
2.Regrade and stabilize multiple ditch sections along Park Street (60" ROW)
a.Contractor to excavate and/or fill eroded ditch sections along both sides of Park Street. All work to be inside of public right-of-way or with signed right-of-entry, acquired by the City.
b.All areas to be stabilized at the end of each day with BMPs, which may include temporary cover and matting, ditch checks, or other erosion control BMPs.
c.All ditches impacted must receive 2" flat bottom and appropriate side slopes, graded and compacted to minimize long-term erosion.
d.All driveway culverts will be fully exposed and sedimentation removed.
e.All Ditches to receive at least matting, grassing, and fertilization. If off-season or temporary grasses used, contractor will be required to regerminate warm-weather grass.
f.Contractor will be responsible for the project until 85% stand of permanent grass.
g.Sod matching adjacent yard will be utilized over any disturbed area greater than4" from the edge of the bottom of the ditch.
h.Sod may be used in the ditch but must be staked.
i.Approximate areas of particular concern are noted below but are not exhaustive.

The project involves two main parts: 1) Replacement of CMP culvert under Industrial Parkway: contractor will follow GDOT specifications to replace a damaged culvert, using RCP with size increased to 30 inches, placed on a minimum of 12 inches of foundation backfill, with GDOT Safety Flared End Sections, head and tail ditch excavation, relocation 2 feet further from Park Street, backfill with 57 stone or compacted GAB within 6 inches of finished grade, final 6 inches paved per GDOT 1401 detail, possible road closure for up to 3 days, city assistance with Walton EMC coordination, and contractor must call 811 for utility conflicts. 2) Regrade and stabilize multiple ditch sections along Park Street (60-foot ROW): contractor to excavate/fill eroded ditch sections, stabilize areas daily with BMPs, ensure ditches have 2-foot flat bottom and appropriate side slopes, expose driveway culverts and remove sedimentation, apply matting, grassing, and fertilization, maintain until 85% stand of permanent grass, use sod matching adjacent yard over disturbed areas greater than 4 feet from ditch bottom, and stake sod if used in ditch.
