The Lee County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed written bids from qualified contractors for
road resurfacing services for Fussell Road. In general, Fussell Road is to be patched as directed by
Engineer, widened, leveled with 100 lbs/sy of OGI, and topped with 165 lbs/sy of 12.5 mm asphalt
overlay. Widening will mill a minimum 9” into the existing edge of asphalt to redevelop the edge of
pavement. Other included items are thermoplastic traffic striping, rumble strips, stop bars, shoulder

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Opal
Cannon Auditorium of the T. Page Tharp Building located at 102 Starksville Avenue North Leesburg,
Georgia 31763. All bidders must attend the pre-bid meeting to submit a bid.
If you choose to submit a written bid on this project, your sealed bid must be marked “2026 LRA –
Fussell Road Resurfacing Project” and delivered to the Lee County Board of Commissioners Office
at the T. Page Tharp Building located at 102 Starksville Avenue North Leesburg, Georgia 31763, no later
than 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. All bids will be opened and read aloud during a public
bid opening at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, in the Opal Cannon Auditorium of the T.
Page Tharp Building located at 102 Starksville Avenue North Leesburg, Georgia 31763. The public is
invited to attend this bid opening. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the bid
opening.
