The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Department of Public Works (DPW) and Atlanta Fire Rescue Department (AFRD), will shortly undergo a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process comprised of a prequalification phase as the initial step, followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB), towards the procurement of multiple qualified service providers to provide vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance services, including fire apparatus service. The scope includes, but is not limited to, routine maintenance, emergency repairs, warranty work, and the supply and delivery of replacement parts necessary to support AFRD's firefighting apparatus, service vehicles, and additional public safety equipment. Replacement parts must meet or exceed OEM quality and specifications, and fire apparatus maintenance and repair services must follow the current NFPA 1911 Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Automotive Fire Apparatus. Interested firms during the prequalification phase must demonstrate experience, service capacity, technical capability, qualified personnel, facilities, and resources necessary to provide timely maintenance and repair services for a fleet of approximately 300 firefighting apparatus, service vehicles, and related public safety equipment. A Pre-Solicitation Conference will be noticed and held to provide more details and address questions. We hope to see you there.

Most Georgia work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what an agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
