The City of Acworth is seeking qualified contractors to provide roadway milling, asphalt resurfacing, deep patching, pavement marking, and traffic control services for street improvements within the Wexford Downs Subdivision, portions of the Dallas Landings neighborhood, and Franklin Street in Acworth, Cobb County, Georgia.
Project roadways include: Mitchell Hill Dr, Hill View Dr, Overlook Dr, Ridgecrest Ct, Kildare Ct, Wexford Downs Way, Franklin St, Cove St, Dawn Dr, Woodvalley Dr, Hudson Dr, Allatoona Dr, Dogwood Dr, Lakewood Dr, Cemetery Rd, Hill St, Pinecrest Dr, and Dewberry Cir. Roadway limits and final work locations will be determined by the City of Acworth Public Works Department.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. Work includes, but is not limited to:
Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and traffic control throughout construction.
Storm drain protection measures. Edge milling of existing asphalt pavement to a depth of approximately 1.5 inches, including removal and disposal of milled material.
Deep patching of failed pavement areas as directed by the City Project Manager, including removal of unsuitable material, aggregate base replacement, compaction, and placement of GDOT-compliant 19MM Superpave asphalt.
Asphalt resurfacing with 1.5 inches of GDOT-approved 12MM Superpave asphalt, placed and compacted to provide a smooth, uniform riding surface with proper drainage.
Construction and sealing of all pavement joints and transitions.
Installation or replacement of thermoplastic pavement markings using GDOT-approved materials, including reflective glass beads as required.
Bidders shall provide unit pricing for edge milling and resurfacing (per square yard), deep patching and aggregate base replacement (per ton, estimated at up to 10% of the total calculated roadway area), pavement markings (per linear foot), and traffic control (lump sum).

SECTION 00100 INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS
1.01 General
A. Sealed bids for the 2026 Milling and Repaving Wexford Dowms/Dallas Landings, City of Acworth will
be received by:

opened and read aloud at the above address immediately following the closing of the bids. Bids received after
the submission deadline will not be considered. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 1:00 o’clock
P.M. EST September 21st, 2026 at 4402 Acworth Industrial Dr, Acworth, GA 30101.
