The City of Cartersville is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified design professionals to provide
Architectural and Engineering Design Services for a new redevelopment of Cartersville Sports Complex, along
with selected redevelopment of the concession stand at Hicks Park; and retaining wall at Hicks Park.
Proposals must be returned in a sealed container marked on the outside with the Request for Proposal number 26-
013 and Company Name. Proposals will be received until 3:00 P.M. local time on Thursday, October 23, 2026 at
the Cartersville Parks & Recreation Department 100 Pine Grove Road, Cartersville, GA 30120. Any proposal
received after this date and time will not be accepted. Proposals will be publicly opened and only names of
submitting firms will be read at 3:00 P.M. Proposals are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted. One
unbound original, five (5) bound copies without FEE PROPOSAL should be submitted and one form of
electronic media in Adobe PDF format should be submitted.
The FEE PROPOSAL should be in a separate sealed envelope.

5:00 P.M. on October 6, 2026.
Successful design professional firm will be required to meet insurance requirements. The Insurance Company should
be authorized to do business in Georgia by the Georgia Insurance Department and must have an A.M. Best rating of
A or better.
The written proposals supersede any verbal or written prior communications between the parties.
Selection criteria are outlined in the request for proposal documents.
The Design Professional shall provide complete programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction document services for the redevelopment of Cartersville Sports Complex (including conversion of Richard Bell Baseball Field to turf with grandstand seating, press box, locker rooms, concessions, and storage; reconfiguring Fields 1-4; and removing the existing concession stand) and for Hicks Park (replacing the concession stand with a second-floor meeting space, office, and umpire dressing area; and constructing a retaining wall). Services include architectural design, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, civil engineering, landscape architecture, and commissioning coordination.
