1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Invitation for Bid is intended to provide interested vendors with sufficient
information to guide them through the development of their proposed bid to repair the
L1 Upper Ramp Concrete at Fire Station 1, 201 W. Thomas Street, Milledgeville, GA
31061.
In responding to this bid, it is important that all vendors follow the prescribed format so
that each vendor will be providing comparable data to that submitted by other vendors
and thus be assured of fair and objective treatment in the City’s review and evaluation
process.
1.2 Schedule of Events
This Invitation for Bid will be governed by the following schedule:

The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits (if required), and incidentals necessary to demolish and replace the existing deteriorated concrete pad located at the Upper L1 Ramp of Milledgeville Fire Rescue Service Station 1. Work includes demolishing and removing approximately 40 ft x 40 ft of existing degraded concrete pavement, proper disposal, protecting existing structures, excavating and preparing subgrade for a 6-inch reinforced concrete slab, installing reinforcing steel doweled into existing pavement, installing new concrete pavement with proper drainage and transition to existing asphalt, saw-cutting joints, and restoring disturbed areas. The contractor must coordinate with Fire Rescue personnel to minimize disruptions and maintain safe access throughout the project.
