The vendor will provide cessation services to achieve the goals of the 'Plan for a Tobacco-free Delaware', including preventing initiation of tobacco use, increasing quitting attempts, eliminating exposure to secondhand smoke, decreasing social acceptability of tobacco, and strengthening leadership in tobacco prevention. Services include providing telephone and in-person cessation counseling, FDA approved prescription cessation aids and non-prescription nicotine-replacement therapy (NRT) such as patches, gum, and lozenges through a pharmaceutical cessation aid program, and conducting follow-up evaluation surveys seven months after enrollment.
