The City of Detroit Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), on behalf of the Public Works Department, is seeking a qualified vendor to render certain services ("Services") as set forth in this RFQ to provide Calcium Chloride.
The awarded vendor must furnish and deliver liquid calcium chloride for ice control. The vendor's plant must be located within 20 miles of Detroit city limits and be accessible 24/7 for city trucks to load material directly. The vendor must also have the capability to deliver liquid calcium chloride and fill tanks located at 5800 Russell, Detroit, MI 48211. The material must meet specified chemical and physical properties including a pH of 5, calcium chloride content of 57-62% by weight, and a freezing point of -20°F. Payment is on a cost-per-gallon basis for actual quantities received.
