Rehabilitation of Lath and Plaster: Perform plaster repairs to ceilings, soffits, coffers, and walls in the South Parlor and G.A.R Hall.
Painting: Following plaster repairs, the entirety of the South Parlor and G.A.R Hall shall be primed and painted, including ceilings, soffits, coffers, and walls.
Acoustical Ceiling: Demolish existing ACT in Kitchen area and furnish and install new acoustical ceiling system.
Pre-Bid Conference: October 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and bidders shall meet outside the main entrance at The Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building located at 590 Main Street, Melrose, MA 02176.
The work consists of rehabilitating lath and plaster in the South Parlor and G.A.R. Hall, including repairs to ceilings, soffits, coffers, and walls; priming and painting of the entirety of those spaces following plaster repairs; and demolition of the existing acoustical ceiling tile system in the Kitchen area followed by installation of a new acoustical ceiling system. Unit price work includes plaster area repair, crack in plaster repair, and hairline crack in plaster repair.
