The 2026 STOP VAWA AGF is a competitive grant program. Entities eligible to apply include:
Massachusetts state agencies; local and tribal law enforcement; nonprofits; public and/or private
non-governmental agencies; or federally recognized Indian tribes with experience providing
services and/or technical assistance to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating
violence, or stalking. Faith-based and culturally specific community-based organizations are also
eligible to apply.

Funds may be used for 12 applicable purpose areas including training law enforcement, judges, court personnel and prosecutors, developing or expanding specialized units, implementing police, court and prosecution policies and services, developing and strengthening victim services and legal assistance including for underserved populations, addressing needs of Indian tribes, training sexual assault forensic examiners, assisting older and disabled victims, providing immigration assistance, maintaining core victim services, placing special victim assistants in law enforcement, addressing sexual assault in correctional settings, and serving victims whose access is affected by sexual orientation or gender identity.
