The contractor must provide snow plowing, pretreatment, sanding, deicing, and related snow and ice removal services at the DYS facility located at 456 Flax Pond Road, Brewster, MA 02631. The facility is inside Nickerson State Park, and the access road from Route 6A to the facility is approximately 1.25 miles long. The contractor must clear and treat the roadway, parking spaces, and other paved areas as needed to maintain safe and operational access throughout the winter months. The contractor must be capable of responding to service calls throughout the day or night and must arrive at the facility no later than two hours after being contacted by authorized DYS personnel. The contractor shall check in and check out with designated DYS facility staff. Deicing and snowmelt products must comply with FAC120 requirements and EPA Safer Choice Program certification where applicable.
